It’s finally here. After what seems like 27 years of primaries and debates and other campaign stuff, Election Day is upon us. Every American enjoys the right and the freedom to vote. To pull the lever or touch the screen or punch the card for the person or people that they believe would do the best job at every level of government from local races to the race for the White House.
Whoever you support…whatever you believe…you must take the time and expend the energy to do your civic duty and VOTE! If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain.
Regardless of tonight’s outcome, some will be happy and some will be mad. It is inevitable.
The good news in all of this is the fact that God is sovereign…and He alone is in control. He gives us free will (much like the right to choose and vote for candidates) to make our own choices but He is still in control and nothing takes Him by surprise. The Lord will not look at today’s election results and say, “Wow. Never saw that comin’!”
Pray for this election. Pray for our country. Pray for our leaders…whoever they may be.
