Remember when you were young and someone would say, “don’t “assume” anything because it might make an…..” and then they would break down the word to explain the various outcomes? Well, the same holds true today. As we get closer to launching the new campus, and even beyond launch date, don’t assume that I know what’s going on or what has happened in this ministry area or that ministry area. Chances are, I don’t.
Twice this week, a friend has called me to talk about something that he or she thought I had intimate knowledge of and found out that I had no idea anything was going on. That is not necessarily a bad thing, unless of course (as my friend did) you expect me to do something about a certain situation. If I don’t know, I can’t help. That being said, if I am not part of the problem or part of the solution, I don’t want to know. Anything or anyone that isn’t part of the problem or solution is just gossip.
BUT…if you need my help, or just want input, or if I’ve hurt your feelings, or if I am about to walk into traffic…please, tell me. Let me know. We must communicate at every level for the West Campus to be successful in fulfilling it’s mission of helping people on the west side of town find their way back to God.

Hey Pastor Wes,
You may assume that this prompted me to pray for all the “Westies”!
Blessings!
